6th Astral era || year 1552; Gou and Reiko Kutsuki immigrate from Koshu to Yanxia during the occupation of Doma to offer their services as healers to the rebellion6th Astral era || year 1554 ➜ year 1555; in the coming months before the birth of their twin children, the Kutsuki's travel further west, hoping to find a more peaceful life for their family. the twins are born at sea with bright white freckles at the tail end of the sixth umbral moon.the Kutsuki's find home at a small settlement in the northern mountains of Gyr Abania as the village's main healers. as unrest begins to stir throughout the land, they begin plans to once again relocate.6th Astral era || year 1557 ➜ year 1559; the Kutsuki's are driven to cross the mountains of Xelphatol due to the Garlean invasion. they travel Coerthas as apothecaries, before settling down in the eastern highlands. they come to live a life not without struggle...in the early moons of 1559, Gou meets an Ishgardian nobleman named Barthélemy de Ruielle, who offers him a good sum of money for his services to treat his ailing son, Sasha. the boy is brought to live with them at their humble home, his parents believing living outside of the capital to be good for his health.Sasha (age 14) begins to take interest in the Kutsuki's son, Minori, and during his time living with the family he begins to torment the young Miqo'te both physically and mentally. by the end of his stay, the two boys are not seen alone.6th Astral era || year 1560; quickly after arriving to retrieve their son, the Ruielles come to realise that he will not leave without his new little friend. given the viscountess' penchant for spoiling her son, she offers not only a large sum of money, but sponsorship for the Kutsuki's to live in Ishgard proper. desiring a better life for his family, even at the cost of his son, Gou accepts this offer.Minori is taken to live with the Ruielles at their manor in the capital, where he is further subject to Sasha's torture. his newly adopted "parents" regard him with similar cruelness, denying the boy an education and treating him more like a pet or servant than a child.6th Astral era || year 1562; the Echo resonates across the realm. the twins (age 8), blessed by the Mothercrystal, are captivated by visions of falling stars. Minori's sister Shinobu, is rendered comatose as her body rejects Hydaelyn's blessing. she wakes after laying unresponsive for an entire moon, her once vibrant white freckles faded to a natural tone and her memory completely gone. Gou, fearing contact with her brother would trigger some sort of reaction, decides to move his family back east.shortly after his power of the Echo awakens, Minori begins to be subjected to nightmares of the Final Days. his memories of his birth family begin to blur as his continued mistreatment worsens as he ages.6th Astral era || year 1565, first astral moon; shortly after his 10th name day, Sasha begins to sexually abuse Minori.6th Astral era || year 1567; in the early summer, Barthélemy succumbs to an unknown illness.6th Astral era || year 1570, fifth umbral moon; Minori (age 15) escapes Ishgard with the aid of one of Sasha's friends.6th Astral era || early year 1571 ➜ mid year 1572; Minori, after nearly starving to death wandering the Dravanian Forelands, is picked up by a traveling caravan of adventurers, lead by an auri woman named Hiwamine. although distrustful at first, as they treat him with more kindness than anyone has shown him in his life, Minori begins to warm up to the adventurers, even considering them a family.during their travels, one of the travelers, a Viera by the name of Askir (age 23) begins to treat Minori especially well, eventually proclaiming his love for the young boy. he manipulates Minori into a secret relationship, treating him uncomfortably familiar to how Sasha used to treat him. resigned to his fate and made to believe he deserved to be treated so, Minori fell into a deep depression.6th Astral era || year 1572; the Calamity.their family does not survive the fall of Dalamud.Minori and Askir awake, alone, in a destroyed world.7th Umbral era || year 0 ➜ year 2; Minori and Askir travel together for two more years, picking up odd jobs to earn what little coin they can, helping the world rebuild. seeing more of the world as an adult, Minori begins to tire of his abusive treatment and leaves Askir, wounded, after a dangerous job raiding a bandit camp.7th Umbral era || year 2 ➜ year 4; Minori begins his journey to the Black Shroud, where he's heard rumours of an adventurers' guild in the making. he continues his habit of odd jobs, and by the time he reaches the city state of Gridania, our young hero is tired.for the first time in six years, Minori lays down his lance, and offers his services to the Botanist's guild, where he quickly developes a love for horticulture.7th Umbral era || year 5; after a year of comfortable living, the number of adventurers that have started to flock to the city states has made Minori's adventuring soul begin to yearn for a life back on the road. for the first time since setting foot in Gridania, the to-be saviour of the realm steps into the Caroline Canopy, and begins an adventure far beyond what he could ever dream of.
